BUDAPEST, Hungary — In preparation for the Summer Olympics, Duke wrestling assistant coach
Ethan Ramos is set to compete in the Polyak Imre & Varga Janos Memorial, which will take place from June 6-9 in Budapest, Hungary.
Â
Nearly 50.0 percent of the Paris-qualified wrestlers will compete in the event. The tournament offers ranking points that can change seeds for the Olympic games. In the event, a field of 313 wrestlers are expected to compete with 134 of those being Paris qualified.
Â
Ramos, who recently completed his third season with the Blue Devils as an assistant coach, is one of 12 wrestlers that will compete in the 86kg freestyle weight this week.Â
Â
Back in March, Ramos qualified for the 2024 Olympics in Paris and will be representing his country of Puerto Rico this summer. The games will take place July 26 to Aug. 11.Â
