DURHAM – Duke's
Kenny Brower, Andrew McAdorey and
Brennan O'Neill headlined the Blue Devils' eight USILA All-America selections with first-team recognition. This is the second consecutive first-team honor for Brower and O'Neill and the first for junior McAdorey.

Tyler Carpenter as a third-team selection. Senior
Jake Naso and graduate students
Dyson Williams and
Josh Zawada each earned an honorable mention nod.
Duke's three first-team selections tied Notre Dame with the most while the eight players are second behind the Fighting Irish's 11. Notre Dame had six across the top three teams and Duke and Virginia both had five apiece.
Brower, a close defenseman, becomes the fifth Duke defenseman to earn consecutive All-America honors and the third since 2018. A repeat first-team choice on attack, O'Neill is the fourth Duke attackman to earn a spot on the top team and the first since
Ned Crotty in 2009 and 2010.
One of three Duke defenseman to earn All-ACC recognition three times, Brower started every game of his Blue Devil career. The Massapequa, N.Y., native led the Blue Devils with 19 caused turnovers this season while drawing the matchup with the opponent's top attackman in every game. He picked up at least one ground ball in 15 games this season and had a season-high five at High Point. Brower was named the ACC Defensive Player of the Week following his stellar performance in the win over Virginia.
A second-team choice by the USILA in 2022, Brower played in 80 career games and picked up 147 ground balls and forced 73 turnovers which ranks fourth in Duke history.
A versatile offensive player, McAdorey led Duke's first midfield unit with 28 goals and nine assists for 37 points. He scored at least a point in 18 of 19 games this season and registered at least one goal in 16 of those. Returning to midfield after one season at attack, McAdorey did not miss a beat. He had multiple goals in eight games and finished the ACC slate with six goals and one assist for seven points. The St. Anthony's product has started all 55 games in his career and has 87 goals and 50 assists for 137 points.
A four-time USILA All-American, earning honorable mention recognition as a freshman, second team honors in 2022 and consecutive first team accolades the past two seasons, O'Neill led the Blue Devil offense throughout his career. He is one of the most decorated players to wear a Blue Devil jersey, winning the Tewaaraton Award and the Raymond J. Enners Most Outstanding Player Award while leading Duke to the 2023 national championship game.
One of two Blue Devils to garner All-ACC honors four times, O'Neill finished his career as one of two Blue Devils and four players in NCAA Division I history to amass 200 goals and 100 assists. His 307 career points rank third in Duke history and are tied for 18th among Division I players all time. O'Neill, the fastest Blue Devil to score 100 goals, totaled 207 in his four seasons to rank third among Blue Devils and fourth in NCAA history. He owns the 11th, 12th and 13th most goals in a single-season as one of three Blue Devils to register at least 50 goals in three different campaigns.
The anchor to Duke's rope unit, Maguire is a crucial cog in the Blue Devils' defensive and faceoff success. He was second among non-faceoff specialists with 40 ground balls and forced 15 turnovers. Dangerous in transition, Maguire also had three goals and four assists for seven points. He helped Duke hold seven opponents to single digits and the Blue Devils to a 10.42 goals against average. He was equally as important in Duke posting the nation's 10th-best clearing percentage (.892). A tireless and unrelenting defensive player, Maguire has played in 38 career games and has 64 ground balls, 25 caused turnovers and 13 points (8g, 5a).
Carpenter, a top longstick midfielder for the Blue Devils, has been a key part of Duke's success on defense and on the faceoff throughout his career. He led all non-faceoff specialists in ground balls (54) and was second with 18 caused turnovers this season. Earning USILA All-America third team recognition in 2023, Carpenter played in 79 career games and amassed 83 caused turnovers to rank third on the Duke career list. Carpenter, outstanding off the ground, also had an impressive 282 ground balls in his five seasons in Durham. Offensively, the Durham, N.C., native contributed nine goals and six assists for 15 points.
Duke's faceoff leader for the past four years, Naso has cemented himself in both the Duke and the NCAA record books. Naso, Duke's record holder in faceoff wins (1,001) and ground balls (554), has been incredibly consistent for the Blue Devils in winning 59.3 percent of his faceoffs. Earning USILA first-team All-America honors as a junior, Naso won a career-best 315 faceoffs to rank tied for fifth in NCAA Division I history. Playing in 69 career games, Naso's 1,001 victories at the dot and 554 ground balls rank seventh in NCAA history, while his 1,660 faceoffs taken are the second most of any Division I player all-time.
One of Duke's greatest goal scorers, Williams finished his career tied atop the Duke record book and third in NCAA history with 212 career goals. He led all Blue Devils this season with 61 goals to rank tied for sixth in Duke single-season history. Scoring 60 goals in 2023, Williams is one of three Blue Devils to register at least 60 tallies in two different seasons. His six goals in the NCAA quarterfinal game against Maryland are tied for second most in Duke NCAA Tournament history and pushed him to tie Justin Guterding's Duke record of 212. Williams finished the 2024 NCAA Tournament with 11 goals to rank tied for fourth in Duke history, while his 23 postseason markers are tied for fifth among Blue Devils.
Joining the Blue Devils as a graduate student transfer after a standout career at Michigan, Zawada did not miss a beat after arriving in Durham. He led Duke with 45 assists and had 78 points overall. The 45 helpers rank seventh in Blue Devil single-season history. Zawada dished out three-plus assists in six games this year and registered five-plus points eight times. The Raleigh, N.C., was named the ACC Offensive Player of the Week following his five-goal outing against Virginia. Zawada, graduating as Michigan's all-time leading goal and point scorer, completed his collegiate career with 152 goals and 139 assists for 291 points in 70 career games.
Duke finished the season with a 13-6 overall record, advancing to the ACC Championship title game and the NCAA quarterfinals.
