DURHAM – Second-ranked Duke is set to face East Carolina and Campbell in a pair of non-conference midweek contests.
The Blue Devils (33-3, 13-2 ACC) travel to Greenville, N.C., on Tuesday to take on the Pirates at Max R. Joyner Family Stadium in a 5 p.m. matchup. Duke then returns home to host the Camels at Duke Softball Stadium on Wednesday at 6 p.m.
Duke softball earned the program's first No. 1 ranking on Monday when
SoftballAmerica unveiled its Top 25 poll for week nine. The Blue Devils broke into the top-5 in all four major polls last week after a three-game sweep over then-No. 15 Virginia Tech. Duke then defeated Charlotte, 6-1, in a midweek contest before sweeping North Carolina in a three-game set to extend its winning streak to eight games.

EAST CAROLINA
Duke leads the all-time series, 4-1, after meeting for the first time in 2018. The last matchup was a season ago with the Blue Devils sweeping the Pirates in a doubleheader at Duke Softball Stadium. Duke recorded an 11-5 win in the opening game before claiming a 4-3 walk-off win in the nightcap.
CAMPBELL
The Blue Devils lead the all-time series with the Fighting Camels, 6-1, including two shutout wins last season during the Campbell Invitational. Duke outscored Campbell, 18-0, during the two contests in Buies Creek.
UP NEXT
The Blue Devils hit the road on Friday, traveling to Clemson, S.C., to face No. 17 Clemson in a three-game ACC series at McWhorter Stadium. Friday's opener is scheduled for 7 p.m. and will be broadcast on ESPN2.
