DURHAM - Duke rowing opens the spring slate on Saturday with a scrimmage against Virginia along the Rivanna Reservoir in Charlottesville, Va. Action is set to begin around 11 a.m.

Mollie Nicol will serve as team captains for the 2024 campaign. The Blue Devil trio were all selected to serve as captains for the first time in their careers.
Duke returns 25 letterwinners from last year's team, including 16 that competed in the 2023 NCAA Championships. At the NCAA Championships last season, the Varsity Eight and Second Varsity Eight boats advanced to the C Finals while the Varsity Four secured a spot in the Petite Final. As a team, Duke saw its best finish in program history, placing 14th overall with 56 points in the championship.
The Blue Devils also welcomed 16 newcomers in eight freshman, one sophomore and seven graduate transfers.
Following Saturday's scrimmage, Duke will travel to Oak Ridge, Tenn., to compete in the 12th annual Oak Ridge Cardinal Invitational March 16-17.
