ABOUT THE OPPONENTS
OKLAHOMA
Duke and Oklahoma will face off for the second time in program history after first meeting at the Mark Campbell Invitational in Irvine, Calif., last season, where the Sooners claimed a 4-0 victory. Oklahoma is coming off a national championship season in 2023 after posting a 61-1 record, the best win percentage in NCAA Division I softball history (.984) and Big 12 regular season and tournament titles.
IOWA STATE
Duke and Iowa State are set to faceoff for the first time in program history. The Cyclones are coming off a 25-30 season that ended in the Big 12 Championship semifinals.
NEBRASKA
The Blue Devils and Cornhuskers will also face off for the first time in program lore. No. 18 Nebraska returns all but three players from last season's team that finished with a 36-22 record and made its second straight trip to the NCAA Tournament.
LONG BEACH STATE
Saturday's contest with Long Beach State will mark the teams' first all-time meeting. The Beach went 21-6 in Big West play last season, capturing the program's 10th Big West title and made its 26th NCAA Tournament appearance.
