BOSTON, Mass. – Duke track and field capped the indoor regular season on a high note as the Blue Devils dismantled the school record in the men's distance medley relay Friday evening at the Boston University Track and Tennis Center.

Owen Drometer and
Beck Wittstadt clocked 9:29.20 en route to placing seventh overall, crushing the 14-year-old school record in the process by more than five seconds.
Over in Blacksburg, Va.,
Paige Sommers represented Duke at the Virginia Tech Challenge. The junior took part in the women's pole vault and notched a fifth-place finish of 4.12m (13-6.25 feet). Sommers passed on the initial height before clearing two of her next three on the opening attempt.
