DURHAM, N.C. – The Duke women's basketball team earned its highest ranking since 2014-15, checking in at No. 8 in the Week 5
Associated Press (AP) Poll released Monday afternoon.
Duke jumped five spots up the team charts after going 3-0 this past week, which included back-to-back top-10 wins over No. 9 Kansas State and No. 8 Oklahoma en route to winning the Ball Dawgs Classic.
Additionally, the first NCAA NET rankings for the 2024-25 season were unveiled Monday with Duke ranked ninth nationally, and first in the ACC. The Blue Devils are 3-1 versus Quad 1, 1-0 against Quad 2 and 4-0 versus Quad 3 and 4. Duke also ranks 11th in Strength of Schedule (SOS).
The Blue Devils gear up for a top-10 matchup on the road, making the trip to Columbia, S.C., for a date with No. 3 South Carolina Thursday, Dec. 5 as part of the 2024 SEC/ACC Challenge. Tipoff is slated for 9 p.m., ET live on ESPN.
