DURHAM, N.C. –Duke women's soccer officially closed the book on a very successful 2024 campaign this week as the Blue Devils held their end-of-the-season banquet.

Katie Groff took home two awards on the night – Defensive MVP along with Most Inspirational – while graduate student
Hannah Bebar was named Team MVP, graduate student
Maggie Graham was tabbed Offensive MVP, freshman
Sophia Recupero earned Rookie of the Year and junior
Carina Lageyre was presented with the Coaches' Award.
All awards were voted on by the student-athletes, except the Coaches' Award.
A native of Raleigh, N.C., Groff closed her Duke career leading the Blue Devils to 52 shutouts over the last five seasons, including 12 in 2024. Over her impressive Duke career, she started 82-of-92 matches, played 7,081 minutes, had nine goals, seven assists and 25 points. Four of her nine goals were game-winners. In her final season, she played a career-high 1,824 minutes, started 21-of-22 contests, had three goals, two assists and eight points.
Bebar, who is from Naperville, Ill., started all 22 matches in the midfield for Duke. She posted three goals and five assists for 11 points, while helping the Blue Devils control the midfield most of the season. Bebar registered a brace at eighth-ranked North Carolina to help close the regular season with a 3-2 win on the road.
A product of Atlanta, Ga., Graham featured a breakout season offensively for the top-ranked Blue Devils with a team-high 14 goals along with five assists and 33 points. On the season, she notched five game-winning goals and three matches with two or more tallies. Graham, who was the ACC Midfielder of the Year, played her best against the top competition with seven of her 14 goals coming against ranked opponents.
Recupero appeared in 13 matches for the Blue Devils off the bench, while collecting three goals and two assists for eight points. She scored three goals on nine shot attempts. A product of Hopkinton, Mass., Recupero tallied a goal against Howard in her first NCAA Tournament match, while also scoring against Boston College and East Tennessee State.
One of the top midfielders in the nation, Lageyre started all 21 matches she played on the season. She saw action in 1,582 minutes, had two goals and six assists for 10 points. Lageyre, who hails from Cooper City, Fla., notched the game-winning goal against Michigan State in the NCAA Tournament, while also adding a goal against Boston College and key assists on the road at Clemson, Nebraska and North Carolina.
As a team, Duke featured a very exciting and successful season. The Blue Devils totaled an 18-3-1 overall and 9-0-1 ACC ledger. Duke advanced to the NCAA College Cup for the fifth time in program history, won the ACC Regular Season title for the fourth time in Blue Devil history and sent head coach
Robbie Church off into retirement after one of the most impressive seasons in Duke history.
Duke collected school records in goals (68), assists (79) and points (215), while featuring the tied for best win turnaround nationally (12). Four different Blue Devils were tabbed All-America and Academic All-America and Duke was ranked No. 1 for the most weeks in program history (4).
