FIRST TOUCH
- Duke begins its 31st NCAA Tournament appearance and the 10th under head coach John Kerr on Sunday afternoon at Koskinen Stadium, hosting San Diego for the second-round matchup. The Blue Devils are 34-28-2 (.547) all-time in the NCAA Tournament, highlighted by the program's national title in 1986. In the second round, the Blue Devils hold a record of 11-8.
- Seven Blue Devils were tabbed to All-ACC Awards last week, highlighted by graduate Wessel Speel being named ACC Goalkeeper of the Year. It marks the second time since the award's conception in 2022 that a Duke goalkeeper won the award. Joining Speel on the first team was Ulfur Bjornsson, while Adam Luckhurst was tabbed to the second team. Third Team honors went to Kamran Acito, Kenan Hot, and Ruben Mesalles, while freshman Jamie Kabuusu was Duke's lone honoree on the Freshman Team.
FAMILY CONNECTION
- Junior Drew Kerr continues to etch the Kerr name into the record book, playing alongside his brother, Cameron Kerr, and under his father, John Kerr. Drew has secured points in his last four contests, tallying 20 on the year. His 10 assists move him into striking distance to tie or pass his father for a spot on the single-season assists top 10 list for Duke with 14. Kerr currently sits first in the ACC with 10 assists and fifth in the country.
- Joining the Kerr's on the field Sunday is a special connection, as graduate Adam Luckhurst will take the field with the Blue Devils, while his brother Michael is a sophomore on the Golden Bears roster. Michael was also a kicker on the football team for Cal during his freshman campaign.
