DURHAM, N.C. – Duke men's soccer earned its sixth consecutive top-16 seed in the NCAA Tournament on Monday, after being selected as the No. 10 seed for the upcoming tournament. 48 teams were selected into the single-elimination field, with the top-16 teams earning a national seed and a first-round bye.
The Blue Devils (11-3-4) are prepping for their 10th NCAA Tournament under head coach
John Kerr and will play the winner of the first-round matchup between San Diego and UC Davis. The winner of Sunday's match with face either Hofstra, Vermont, or Iona in the third round, played on either Nov. 30 or Dec. 1.
Duke is coming off an 11-3-4 regular season, marking the 11th time that the Blue Devils have won 10-plus matches in a season under Kerr and had seven players earn All-ACC honors, including
Wessel Speel, who was named ACC Goalkeeper of the Year.
Ulfur Bjornsson joined Speel on the first team, while
Adam Luckhurst was tabbed to the second team.

Kenan Hot, and
Ruben Mesalles added third-team designations, as freshman
Jamie Kabuusu was tabbed to the freshman squad.
Duke men's soccer is 34-28-2 (.547) all-time in the NCAA Championship, headlined by the program's national title in 1986. In the second round, the Blue Devils hold a record of 11-8.
All first-round matches are played on Nov. 21, followed by all second-round matches on Nov. 24. The third round and quarterfinals will be played on Nov. 30 / Dec. 1 and Dec. 6/7 respectively. The 2024 NCAA College Cup is scheduled for Dec. 13-15 at WakeMed Soccer Park in Cary, N.C.
