NEED TO KNOW
- The top-ranked Duke women's soccer team (9-1-0, 4-0-0 ACC) embarks on a two-game trip to California starting with a contest on Thursday, Oct. 10 at seventh-ranked Stanford (11-1-1, 3-1-1 ACC) at Cagan Stadium.  Match time is slated for 10 p.m. (ET).
- Thursday's match will be aired live on ACC Network Extra with Sara Ach (PXP) and Greg Mescall (Analyst) on the call.
- Duke will then close the trip at 17th-ranked California Sunday, Oct. 13 at 4 p.m. (ET) on ACCNX.
- The Blue Devils have totaled a school record by scoring three or more goals in six straight matches.Â
- Duke has scored a goal in the first half in nine straight matches, which is the second-longest streak in Blue Devil history (14).
- On the season, Duke has scored 32 goals by 12 different players.
- Robbie Church announced on July 22, 2024 he will be retiring at the end of the season and Duke will be promoting associate head coach Kieran Hall to head coach in 2025. Current assistant coach Carla Overbeck will move to associate head coach in 2025 as well.Â

STORYLINES/OTHER BLUE DEVIL NOTES
- For the third time in program lore, Duke has opened ACC play with a 4-0 record (2024, 2017, 1997).Â
- On Tuesday, Duke moved to No. 1 in the United Soccer Coaches Poll for the first time in Blue Devil history.
- Duke holds a +146 advantage in shots and Stanford is +121 on the season.
- Duke leads the ACC with a 2.8 goal margin (scored 32 and allowed 4).Â
- Fifth year Ella Hase owns six assists, all of which have come over the last seven matches. She tallied two against Missouri and SMU. Her six assists ranks tied for third in the ACC.Â
- Devin Lynch has scored or assisted in six straight matches, which are also Lynch's first six starts of the year. She owns three goals and six assists during that stretch. Lynch ranks tied for third in the ACC with her six assists.
- Duke finished the month of September with a 5-0 ledger, which marked only the second undefeated month of September in program history (2017 - 8-0).
- Maggie Graham owns five goals over her last eight matches, while adding four assists. She owns 14 points on the season. Graham has scored or assisted in seven out of the last eight contests.
- Carina Lageyre has tallied a tied for team-best five assists on the season, which ranks tied for seventh in the ACC.
- Duke has scored 32 goals the last nine matches, while the Blue Devils scored a total of 15 goals a season ago in 16 contests.
- Blue Devil head coach Robbie Church reached the 300-win mark against SMU. He is the winningest coach in Duke history.
- The last time the Blue Devils dropped a season opener was in 2017. Duke went on to win 19 straight after the loss and made an appearance in the NCAA College Cup.
- Duke was shutout in the season opener for the first time since 2014, which was also a loss to Ohio State (1-0).
- The last time Duke head coach Robbie Church dealt with a losing season was in 2014 and the next year he led the Blue Devils to the 2015 NCAA College Cup.

THE SERIES WITH STANFORD
- Duke and Stanford will meet for the 13th time in program history with the Cardinal leading the series, 9-2-1.Â
- In matches played in Stanford, Calif., Stanford leads with a 2-0-1 ledger.Â
- Blue Devil head coach Robbie Church has a 1-4-1 ledger versus Stanford
- The last win for Duke against Stanford was in 2021 at home in which Duke won a tough game, 2-1, with goals from Michelle Cooper and Caitlin Cosme.
- Last year, Duke dropped a 4-0 decision to the Cardinal in Stanford.Â

SCOUTING THE CARDINAL
- Stanford holds an 11-1-1 record and 3-1-1 mark in ACC action.
- The Cardinal have won three out of their last five matches with the lone loss coming at Wake Forest.
- In matches at home, Stanford is 4-0-1 with the draw coming against Pitt.
- Andrea Kitahata (6 goals, 4 assists), Charlotte Kohler (3 goals, 3 assists) and Mia Bhuta (3 goals) lead the Cardinal.

HEY, I KNOW YOU!
- Both Elle Piper, Bianca Dominguez and Julia Saunicheva played club soccer with Stanford's Elise Evans, Jasmine Aikey and Andrea Kitahata. They all won at least one championship together.
- Piper, Dominguez and Saunicheva also played with Mia Bhuta in the summer with the San Francisco Glens USL W League.
- While at Oregon, Leah Freeman went 1-2-1 against Stanford in goal. Â

HEADING BACK home TO CALIFORNIA
- The Blue Devils will take eight Blue Devils -- Leah Freeman, Elle Piper, Julia Saunicheva, Mia Minestrella, Kelly Wilson, Madison Foxhoven, Bianca Dominguez and Caroline Dysart.Â
- Dominguez's parents live approximately 15 minutes away from the Berkeley campus.
- Junior Farrah Walters is also heading back near where she spent the last two years playing for Santa Clara. The team will be practicing there Wednesday.Â
- Freeman was born and raised on the edge of the California campus. She went on to play high school soccer for the Berkeley High Yellow Jackets, which was only a couple of blocks from Cal's Edwards Stadium.
- Freeman was a ball girl at Cal games growing up in the Alex Morgan era and has a pink Converse shoe with Morgan's autograph to prove it.
- Freeman's mom, Kerry, went to Cal and her dad, Dale, went to Stanford. Freeman was at the 2015 NCAA Tournament match when Duke defeated Stanford in penalty kicks to send the Blue Devils to the College Cup.
- She chose to attend Oregon out of high school to play in the PAC-12 and to play a few games in front of the hometown crowd. Freeman's first match against Stanford was in 2020 in Eugene, Ore., and the Ducks totaled a 2-1 victory and Freeman notched four saves. It is still the only time Oregon has defeated the Cardinal.

DUKE EARNS NO. 1 RANKING
- Duke received its first No. 1 ranking in the United Soccer Coaches poll under the direction of head coach Robbie Church on Tuesday.Â
- Overall, it is the second time in school history the Blue Devils have been ranked No. 1 by the United Soccer Coaches with the other coming in 1992.Â
- Duke was also No. 1 in the Soccer America poll back in 2012 for two weeks under Church.Â
- The Blue Devils have earned a top-5 ranking for the fifth straight season and an impressive 10th time under Duke head coach Robbie Church.
- Duke went from being unranked to No. 8 to No. 1 in five weeks, which was the biggest jump in program history.
- For the ninth straight year, the Blue Devils have been ranked in the top 10 nationally at some point during the season.Â
- Head coach Robbie Church has guided Duke to top 10 rankings in 16 of his 24 seasons with the Blue Devils.

CHALLENGING SLATE AHEAD
- Duke features only six matches remaining in the regular season and five of the six are against nationally-ranked foes -- North Carolina (2), Wake Forest (3), Stanford (7), Notre Dame (13) and California (17).Â
- Four of the six contests will be on the road as well.Â

MINUTES WITHOUT TRAILING
- Since the second match of the season, the Blue Devils have gone 810 consecutive minutes without trailing.
- The 810 minutes is the second-longest streak in program history behind 1017:15 minutes from the 2011 campaign.
- The third-longest streak was 784:36 during the 2017 campaign.Â
- Both the 2011 and 2017 seasons, the Blue Devils advanced to the NCAA College Cup.

OLIARO NETS ACCOLADES
- Duke's Mia Oliaro received a pair of accolades Tuesday as the sophomore wingback was tabbed the ACC Co-Offensive Player of the Week along with receiving TopDrawerSoccer Team of the Week honors.
- Oliaro totaled a goal and two assists on the week for the Blue Devils as second-ranked Duke totaled a 3-1 victory over Virginia on Thursday and then backed it up with 3-1 win against Louisville on Sunday.
- Against 25th-ranked Virginia, Oliaro registered the game-winning goal in the 48th minute. Oliaro added an assist on Duke's third goal in the 80th minute as well. On Sunday against Louisville, Oliaro assisted on the game-winning tally in the 28th minute to Mia Minestrella.Â
- Since ACC play started, Oliaro has turned in two goals and three assists over four ACC matches. She has registered two goals and three assists in the last three contests.

- Duke owns a nine-match winning streak on the season, which is the second-longest in Duke history.
- The top streak was in 2017 when the Blue Devils totaled a 19-match streak.Â

- For the second time over the last three matches, Duke's Mia duo connected on a goal for the Blue Devils -- Mia Oliaro assisted Mia Minestrella.
- Overall, Minestrella has scored five goals this season and Oliaro has assisted on three of those (Nebraska, SMU, Louisville).Â
- All five of Minestrella's goals have come off the bench for the sophomore.Â
- The duo are also roommates this year.

LYNCH SCORING AS JUNIOR
- After not scoring her first two years at Duke, junior Devin Lynch has tallied four goals over the first 10 matches in 2024.
- The only other Blue Devils to be scoreless their first two seasons and then score four or more goals as a junior were Kelly Hathorn (6 in 2007), Heidi Hollenbeck (4 in 2004) and Molly Lester (4 in 2010).
- Lynch has scored or assisted in six straight matches.Â
- Since entering the starting lineup against ETSU on Sept. 8, Lynch has totaled three goals and assisted in each of the last six contests.

- Duke has jumped out to a 4-0 start in ACC play for only the third time in Blue Devil history (2024, 2017, 1997).Â
