PHILADELPHIA, Pa. - The Duke women's fencing team kicked off its 2024-25 slate Saturday at the Temple Open in Philadelphia, Pa.Â

Duke collected four top-three performances and eight top-10 finishes.
 NOTABLES
Sophomore foilist Charlotte Koenig paced the women's squad Saturday with a first-place finish. She went 4-0 in pool competition to earn the No. 1 seed and claimed gold after defeating Anna Szantay 15-9.
Junior foilist Rachel Koo was the No. 8 seed and climbed to a fifth-place finish after going 4-0 in pool competition.Â
Sabre had another strong showing for the Blue Devils as graduate Sky Miller placed second. She earned the No. 9 seed. Junior Kunling Tong finished fifth.Â
The epee group was led by senior Rachel Kowalsky, who finished 16th.Â
