STANFORD, Calif. – The 10th-ranked Duke women's soccer team traveled to Stanford, Calif., on Saturday and dropped a 4-0 decision to No. 3 Stanford at Cagan Stadium. The Blue Devils fell to 2-2 on the season, while the Cardinal improved to 5-0.
How It Happened
• Duke opened the match with the first shot of the contest off the leg of sophomore
Devin Lynch, which was blocked.
• Stanford then struck first to take a 1-0 lead as Andrea Kitahata found the back of the net at the 10:17 mark.
• The Blue Devils were called for a foul in the box at the 25:59 mark and led to a Kennedy Wesley goal to give Stanford a 2-0 advantage.
• In the 31st minute, Duke was fouled in the box. Senior
Maggie Graham's attempt went high over the crossbar and the score remained, 2-0.
• At the end of the first half, Stanford held a 7-2 advantage in shots.
• The Cardinal added two more goals in the second half to finish with a 4-0 victory.
• The Blue Devils allowed a season-high 14 shots and were limited to a season-low six attempts.

Cameron Roller made her Duke debut and played 10 minutes.

Leah Freeman played the full 90 minutes in goal for the Blue Devils and finished with a season-high four saves.
