DURHAM – ACC Network is painting itself Duke Blue on Thursday, July 13 with 24 hours of programming dedicated to great Blue Devil games and moments from this past year. The Duke Takeover begins at 12 a.m. on Thursday with 11 of the Blue Devils' top games that aired on the ESPN family of networks during the 2022-23 season.
The Duke programming schedule for Thursday on ACC Network is below:
12 a.m. – 2 a.m.: Women's Basketball -- Duke vs. Virginia Tech
2 a.m. – 4 a.m.: Men's Basketball – Duke at North Carolina
4 a.m. – 6 a.m.: Women's Soccer -- Duke vs. Virginia (ACC Tournament)
6 a.m. – 8 a.m.: Women's Lacrosse – Duke vs. Louisville
8 a.m. – 11 a.m.: Baseball – Duke vs. Louisville
11 a.m. – 1 p.m.: Softball – Duke vs. Clemson (ACC Tournament)
1 p.m. – 3 p.m.: Men's Lacrosse -- Duke vs. Penn State (NCAA Tournament)
3 p.m. – 5 p.m.: Women's Basketball – Duke at NC State
5 p.m. – 7 p.m.: Men's Basketball -- Duke vs. Virginia (ACC Championship)
7 p.m. – 10 p.m.: Football – Duke vs. Wake Forest

Women's Basketball -- Duke vs. Virginia Tech
No. 16 Duke continued its hot start to the season and improved to 18-2 overall and 8-1 in ACC play with a 66-55 victory over No. 12 Virginia Tech. The game was tightly contested until the Blue Devils utilized a 10-0 run late in the fourth quarter to extend their lead to 12 and put the game out of reach. Men's Basketball -- Duke at North Carolina
Duke held North Carolina without a field goal for the final 4:20 of action and
Kyle Filipowski poured in a 22-point, 13-rebound double-double as the Blue Devils defeated the Tar Heels, 62-57. With the win, Duke finished off the 19th season sweep of North Carolina in the rivalry's ACC history and secured a double-bye in the 2023 ACC Tournament.
Women's Soccer – Duke vs. Virginia (ACC Tournament)
In a thrilling match to open the quarterfinals of the ACC Championship in Charlottesville, Va., Duke tallied a 2-1 victory over Virginia on the road to advance to the semifinals of the ACC Championship.
Michelle Cooper scored for the Blue Devils in the first three minutes, but the match went to halftime tied, 1-1. Freshman
Kat Rader registered the eventual game-winner in the 55th minute to give Duke a 2-1 lead and Blue Devil senior goalkeeper
Ruthie Jones made a huge stop late to hold off a fierce Cavalier rally.
Women's Lacrosse – Duke vs. Louisville
Ninth-seeded Duke tallied a 12-11 victory over eighth-seeded Louisville in the first round of the ACC Tournament April 23 at UofL Lacrosse Stadium.
Maddie Jenner and
Lexi Schmalz spearheaded Duke's offense with hat tricks while
Caroline DeBellis dished two dimes in the win. Head coach
Kerstin Kimel's squad outshot Louisville 41-21, won the ground ball game (21-16) and dominated at the draw circle (19-8) to advance to the quarterfinal of the ACC Tournament.
Baseball – Duke vs. Louisville
Trailing by three runs in the bottom of the ninth inning, Duke rallied to load the bases for sophomore
Alex Mooney. Mooney laced a first pitch fastball to center field, walking off the then ranked No. 12 Louisville Cardinals at the Durham Bulls Athletic Park. The walk off home run was the first since
Michael Rothenberg did so in 2021, beginning a weekend sweep of Louisville in Durham.
Softball -- Duke vs. Clemson (ACC Tournament)
Freshman pitcher
Cassidy Curd threw her first career no-hitter to help lift No. 6 Duke past No. 9 Clemson, 2-0, in the ACC Championship semifinals. Curd became the first rookie to throw a no-no at the ACC Tournament and recorded the sixth overall at the postseason event. She also tallied Duke's third no-hitter on the year and first solo seven-inning no-no in program history. The freshman sat down the first four batters before allowing her first baserunner on a hit-by-pitch. She settled back in retiring 18 of her final 19 batters faced, relinquishing just one additional hit-by-pitch to register her fifth complete game of the year. The Port St. Lucie, Fla., native added eight strikeouts to her already impressive outing in the circle. With the win, Duke advanced to its second ACC Championship game and first since 2021 when the Blue Devils claimed the title.
Men's Lacrosse -- Duke vs. Penn State (NCAA National Semifinal)
In a thrilling overtime game that featured five ties and two lead changes, Duke graduate student
Garrett Leadmon scored a diving goal on the crease 1:05 into overtime to send the top-seeded Blue Devils to a 16-15 win over Penn State in the NCAA Men's Lacrosse Semifinals. Leadmon finished with a hat trick, with the winner being confirmed after a meeting between the officials in front of the Penn State goal. Junior faceoff specialist
Jake Naso won 22-of-34 faceoffs, including the one in overtime, and added two goals and an assist in a standout effort.
Brennan O'Neill led Duke scorers with three goals and an assist as the Blue Devils led by as many as three, but could never pull away.
Women's Basketball – Duke at NC State
Senior
Celeste Taylor poured in a season-high 23 points and grabbed eight rebounds, classmate
Elizabeth Balogun added 16 points, seven boards and three blocks to help Duke beat No. 6 NC State in a thrilling, 72-58, victory in front of a sold out, raucous crowd at Reynolds Coliseum. After falling behind by nine early in the second quarter, the Blue Devils erupted for a 22-2 run to close the period and grab the lead - one they wouldn't relinquish for the remainder of the game.
Men's Basketball – Duke vs. Virginia (ACC Championship)
Duke used 20-point performances from
Jeremy Roach and
Kyle FIlipowski en route to its 22nd ACC title, defeating Virginia, 59-49. Head coach
Jon Scheyer became just the third head coach in ACC Tournament history to win a title in his first season, joining Duke's
Vic Bubas and North Carolina's Bill Guthridge.
Football – Duke vs. Wake Forest
Sophomore quarterback
Riley Leonard found redshirt freshman
Sahmir Hagans in the front corner of the end zone for the game-winning score to help propel Duke to a 34-31 victory over Wake Forest at Brooks Fields at Wallace Wade Stadium in its regular-season finale. Leonard's pass to Hagans was a 20-yard touchdown reception and capped a night where the Fairhope, Ala., native set career marks in completions (29), passing yards (391), and passing touchdowns (four). Leonard also connected on three other long-yardage scores of 30-, 46-, and 30- yards.
Darius Joiner intercepted Wake Forest quarterback Sam Hartman on 4th-and 10 to ultimately secure Duke's win late in the fourth quarter.
Men's Basketball – Duke vs. North Carolina
Junior guard
Jeremy Roach logged his second-straight, and fourth overall, 20-point game of the season as Duke defeated North Carolina, 63-57, at Cameron Indoor Stadium to give
Jon Scheyer his first victory in his rivalry debut as head coach.
Dereck Lively II set career-highs with 14 rebounds and eight blocks, the most blocks by any Duke player in a Duke-Carolina game, and the second-most by a Duke freshman in any game.
