DURHAM – Seventeen members of the Duke swimming & diving team were named to the 2023 All-ACC Academic Team, the conference announced Wednesday.
The 10 Blue Devils representing the women's team were freshman
Martina Peroni,
Kaelyn Gridley and
Tatum Wall, juniors
Catherine Belykov,
Sarah Foley,
Catherine Purnell and
Aleyna Ozkan, and seniors
Emma Shuppert,
Ali Watson and
Sarah Snyder.
On the men's side, Duke placed sophomore
Michael Volpe, juniors
Seamus Harding Jr. and
David Chang, seniors
Brendan Driscoll and
Coleman Kredich, and graduates
Cole Reznick and
David Hallaron.
Duke's seventeen selections are the most by the Blue Devils' swimming & diving program in program history and marks the 10th consecutive season that Duke has placed five or more student-athletes on the team.
Minimum academic requirements for selection to the swimming & diving All-ACC Academic Team are a 3.0 grade point average and competing in either the ACC Championship and/or NCAA Championship.
Duke has now placed 132 on the swimming & diving All-ACC Academic teams since the award's inception in 2007.
