HOUSTON, Texas — Duke women's basketball incoming freshman Jadyn Donovan wrapped up an exciting few days of McDonald's All-America festivities with a strong performance in the girl's McDonald's High School All-American game Tuesday evening at the Toyota Center.
Donovan, the Blue Devils' 34th McDonald's All-American in program lore, earned the start for the East squad and tallied 12 points, eight rebounds and two steals in 22 minutes. Her squad would go on to drop a 110-102 decision, however, with the game marking the highest scoring girl's McDonald's All-American game all-time.
The Washington, D.C., product was recently named the Gatorade District of Columbia Girls Basketball Player of the Year after leading Sidwell Friends to a 28-3 overall record and the team's second straight DCSAA Girls AA State Championship. Slotted No. 3 in the 2023 Class rankings, Donovan led Sidwell Friends in scoring (14.8) and rebounds (8.2), ranked second in blocks (1.1) and field goal percentage (50.0 percent) as well as third in both assists (3.2) and steals (2.1) per game.
