Second Varsity Eight Tabbed ACC Crew of the Week

DURHAM- Duke's Second Varsity Eight boat has been named ACC Crew of the Week following a strong performance in the Oak Ridge Cardinal Invitational in Oak Ridge, Tenn., last week.
In their first race of the regatta, the 2V8 lineup of coxswain Audrey Kline, Lauren Brandmeyer, Amelia Shunk, Emilie Lijesen, Noelle Fuchs, Sophia Greco, Nora Conaty, Erin Temple, and Chelsea Proutt, posted a winning time of 6:29.704, nearly 10 seconds ahead of second-place Indiana. The crew closed out the day with a second-place finish behind Yale.

Duke wrapped up the weekend with another first-place finish after narrowly edging Tennessee to claim the victory. The 2V8 crew clocked a time of 6:31.279, with Tennessee finishing at 6:31.361.
The Blue Devils won 12 of 18 races at the two-day Oak Ridge Cardinal Invitational and earned six second-place finishes.
