BLACKSBURG, Va. - Duke Swimming and diving concluded the third and final day of the Hokie Invite on Saturday at the Christiansburg Aquatic Center. The Blue Devils now prepare for the ACC Championships and NCAA Diving Zones in the following weeks. Â
 HOW IT HAPPENED
Freshman Austin Simpsoncontinued his strong weekend in Blacksburg, Va., finishing third in the 1650-freestyle for the Blue Devils. Simpson swam a time of 15:58.51 to take a spot on the podium.
Sophomore swimmer Kiki Kennedycracked the top 10 in the 200-backstroke on Sunday, clocking a time of 2:02.28. Freshman Madeline Meredithfinished the event in ninth with a time of 2:03.71.
Senior Olivia Tigheand sophomore KyAnh Truongfinished fifth and sixth in the women's 100-freestyle.
Freshman Sean Rogersfinished seventh on the men's side of the 100-freestyle, posting a time of 45.71.
Freshman Isabella Abrajannearly podiumed in the 200-butterfly on Sunday, finishing with a time of 2:02.71.
 UP NEXT
The Blue Devils travel to Greensboro, N.C., to compete in the ACC Championships on Feb. 14-18. The ACC Swimming and Diving Championships are a combined event this season, accompanying the men's and women's programs during the same week.
