DURHAM – ESPN announced 10 Duke lacrosse games between the men and women will be broadcast on the ESPN family of networks this spring.
On the men's side, ESPN will present more than 265 men's college lacrosse games from seven conferences across ESPNU, ACC Network (ACCN), ESPN3, ESPN+ and ACCNX for the 2023 season which begins, Saturday, Feb. 4.
All eight of the Duke men's lacrosse home games will be shown on either ACC Network, ESPNU or ACCNX. All three are available in the ESPN app with a subscription to a cable provider or accepted streaming service. Duke's Feb. 4 season opener against Bellarmine will be on ACCNX at noon.
Duke will make its linear television debut on ESPNU Feb. 17 when Denver comes to Durham. The game features a clash of two of NCAA Division I's all-time coaching wins leaders, Duke's
John Danowski and Denver's Bill Tierney, who will retire at the end of the 2023 season.
The Blue Devils' ACC home matchups against North Carolina (March 17) and Virginia (April 15) will air on ACCN, while contests against Air Force (March 20), at Virginia (March 31) and at Notre Dame (April 8) can be seen on ESPNU.
Analysts for the men's slate of games will be Quint Kessenich, Paul Carcaterra, Matt Ward, Ryan Boyle, Jules Heningburg and Kyle Harrison. Anish Shroff and Chris Cotter, along with Jay Alter, Drew Carter, Mark Dixon and Joe Beninati, will handle play-by-play duties throughout the season.
ESPN platforms will present more than 450 NCAA women's lacrosse games during the 2023 season from 10 conferences, with action on ESPNU, ACC Network (ACCN), ESPN3, ESPN+ and ACCNX.
The 11th-ranked Blue Devil women will make their ACCN debut Tuesday, March 14 against Yale in Koskinen Stadium before hosting Pitt 12 days later on Sunday, March 26. Duke will travel to Charlottesville, Va., to take on the Cavaliers Saturday, April 8 before its regular-season finale with North Carolina Thursday, April 20. All ACC Championship games will be broadcast on either ACCN or ESPNU.
Play-by-play commentators for women's coverage include Jay Alter, Drew Carter, Leah Secondo, Mark Dixon and Joe Beninati. Sheehan Stanwick-Burch, Dana Boyle, Rachael Becker DeCecco, Charlotte North and Courtney Connor Martinez will handle analyst duties.
