Duke wrestling fell on senior night, 30-10, to Gardner-Webb on Wednesday inside Cameron Indoor Stadium. The Blue Devils' 10 points all came from seniors, including a major decision win by No. 18 Jonah Niesenbaum.

Senior Patrick Rowland earned his points for the Blue Devils at 149, defeating Parker Corwin by a 10-3 decision. Rowland led the match 4-1 heading into the final period before adding two additional takedowns and riding time in the third for his final score.

Despite trailing, 30-3, with two matches remaining, the Blue Devils would not give up, as seniors Vincent Baker and Niesenbaum closed out the match on a high note. Baker and Sam Mora went scoreless in the opening frame of the 184 match, before Baker tallied the first point off an escape in the second. With it still a close 1-0 contest in the third, Baker was able to fend off any last-ditch efforts by Mora to record the 6-2 decision win. In the heavyweight bout, Niesenbaum started scoring early and never really looked back. In total, he posted eight takedowns to register the 19-6 major decision.
