DURHAM – Duke track and field announced the addition of transfer
Chinenye Agina to the jumps unit ahead of the 2022-23 season. With Agina joining the fold, the Blue Devils incoming class now stands at 45 members.
"I'm very excited to have Chinenye join us this year," said assistant coach
Tatijana Jacobson. "As an NCAA Division II National Champion, she brings an understanding of what it takes to compete at a high level. She will be a perfect addition to our crew.
A transfer from Azusa Pacific, Agina established herself as one of the finest high jumpers in Azusa Pacific's storied track & field history. The Fresno, Calif., native captured the 2021 NCAA Division II Outdoor High Jump Championship with a personal best of 1.85m (6-0.75 feet), No. 2 on the APU all-time high jump list.
