DURHAM – After collecting two victories last week, including a road win at No. 22 Tennessee, the Duke women's soccer team moved to No. 2 in the United Soccer Coaches rankings.
The No. 2 ledger equals the highest regular season ranking in school history along with 2021, 2020-21, 2017, 2016, 2012 and 2011.
In the latest United Soccer Coaches poll, North Carolina is No. 1, with Duke No. 2, UCLA No. 3, South Carolina No. 4 and Virginia No. 5. Rounding out the top 10 were BYU, TCU, Penn State, Rutgers and Florida State.
Duke (4-0) is set to embark on one of the most difficult stretches in regular season history for the Blue Devils. On Thursday, Sept. 1, Duke will face No. 3 UCLA (3-0) followed by a road contest Sunday, Sept. 4 at No. 6 TCU (3-0-1) and then host top-ranked North Carolina (4-0) on Thursday, Sept. 8.
The Blue Devils have scored 10 goals over the last three matches since sophomore
Michelle Cooper returned to the lineup. A product of Clarkston, Mich., Cooper owns a team-best six points on two goals and two assists. Duke features seven different student-athletes that have scored goals and allowed three goals in four matches on defense.

Kat Rader received honorable mention accolades for the TopDrawerSoccer Team of the Week. The duo combined to score four goals and notch two assists in the wins over Tennessee and Charlotte.
Duke will host third-ranked UCLA on Thursday at 7:30 p.m., at Koskinen Stadium. The match will also be aired live on ACC Network Extra.
