DURHAM – The 12th-ranked Duke men's soccer team will return to Koskinen Stadium on Sunday afternoon for their second game of the 2022 campaign as they take on Milwaukee. The Blue Devils (1-0-0) and the Panthers (0-1-0) will meet on the pitch for the first time in program history, with kickoff scheduled for 2:35 p.m. and the match streaming on ACC Network Extra.
As part of the
John Rennie Nike Invitational, Elon and San Diego will start play on Sunday afternoon at 12 p.m., followed by the Blue Devils' contest. Duke women's soccer will cap off the triple-header with their game against Charlotte at 6 p.m.
LAST TIME OUT
- The Blue Devils secured a 1-0 victory over San Diego in their first game of the regular season.
- Senior Scotty Taylor was the goal scorer on Friday night, converting in the first 20 minutes of play.
- Goalkeeper Eliot Hamill turned in his first shutout of the season, making three total saves.

WHAT TO WATCH FOR
- Scotty Taylor has scored a goal in all four of Duke's matches this year. He tallied a goal in each of Duke's three exhibition matches before being the lone goal scorer on Friday night against San Diego.
- The Blue Devils made an appearance in all preseason polls, debuting at 12th in the United Soccer Coaches poll and in 11th for both the TopDrawerSoccer and College Soccer News polls.
- Peter Stroud was picked to the MAC Hermann Trophy Preseason Watch List. The Chester, N.J., native is one of 11 returning All-Americans nationwide and developed a strong reputation as a gifted two-way player.
- The strength of the Blue Devils lineup lies in the midfield, as veteran leader Stroud leads a dynamic group. Junior Nick Pariano is back after 13 points and should see plenty of action, along with freshman Kenan Hot.
- Stroud and sophomore Shakur Mohammed have each been recognized among the best in the nation, as TopDrawerSoccer announced their Top-100 Player Rankings for the new year.
- Stroud was selected as the top player to watch in the nation, leading the exclusive list. Mohammed checked in at No. 60.
- The duo were named ACC Midfielder of the Year and ACC Freshman of the Year respectively last season and enter 2022 with high expectations.
- Duke got a huge boost in the offseason, when starting goalkeeper and team captain Eliot Hamill elected to return as a graduate student at the Fuqua School of Business and use his extra COVID year.
