Blue Devils Ink Ten to Throws Unit

DURHAM – Duke track and field announced the addition of nine individuals to the roster ahead of the 2022-23 season. Jide Akinjisola, Lily Lockhart, Rylie Pease, Matthew Prebola, Jacob Reinach, Myles Schreck, Jordyn Shubrick, Amanda Sinkewicz, Zoe Waddell and Kirstin West join the Blue Devils' throws unit.

"This class brings a significant boost to Duke's depth in the throws," said assistant coach Angelo Posillico. "Our standard of performance will immediately be elevated as some of them have already achieved marks further than our school records. I'm excited to help these graduate transfers fulfill their athletic potential while starting the process of developing these highly talented freshmen."

The Blue Devils push their incoming class to 30 members, as Akinjisola, Lockhart, Pease, Prebola, Reinach, Schreck, Shubrick, Sinkewicz, Waddell and West join incoming freshmen Maddie Davies, Nick Falk, Dalia Frias, Jonathan Horn, Julia Jackson, Jeremy Kain, Gianna Locci, Amina Maatoug, Allison Neiders, Falon Spearman and Lauren Tolbert, along with transfers Sara Absten, Tyler Hrbek, Anoush Krafian, Zach McWhorter, Robbie Otal, Ashlyn Ramos, Addie Renner, Emily Sloan and Ilhame Tamrouti.
