DURHAM – Ten members of the Duke men and women's swimming and diving teams recently were named to the College Swimming & Diving Coaches Association of America Scholar-America teams. Additionally, both the men and women's squads garnered spots on Scholar All-America Teams for their respective spring 2022 team GPAs.
Headlining the women's selections was sophomore
Sarah Foley earning first-team recognition.
Catherine Belyakov, Lucy Callard, Easop Lee, and
Emily Lenihan rounded out the five Blue Devil women with second-team recognition.
On the men's side,
Harel Anolick, Jonah Cagley, Brendan Driscoll, Charlie Gingrich, and
David Hallaron each garnered second-team honors.
Foley had a breakout season in 2021-22, garnering first-team All-America honors in the 200 individual medley. A psychology major, Foley also earned first-team Scholar All-America honors as a rookie last year. Lee and Lenihan picked up her third CSCAA Scholar All-America award, while Callard and Belyakov both landed recognition for the first time.
Anolick and Cagley, represented the diving corps for the Blue Devils, earning their fourth and second Scholar All-America awards, respectively. Both garnered second-team recognition for the first time in their careers. Gingrich and Halloran repeat as Scholar All-Americans, while Driscoll rounds out the group as a first-time honoree.
As a team, the Duke women posted a spring GPA of 3.63, while the men came in at 3.55 to earn Scholar All-America team recognition.
To qualify for First-Team Scholar All-America, student-athletes earned a minimum GPA of 3.5 and participated in their national championship. Second-Team selections also earned a 3.50 GPA or higher and achieved a "B" time standard for the national championship or participated at a diving zone qualification meet.
