DURHAM – Eleven members of the Duke rowing program were named to the 2022 All-ACC Academic Team, as announced Wednesday by the conference office.
Duke was represented by
Grace Butero, Allison Carr, Rivca Chaver, Ella Harris, Sydney Johnson, Megan Lee, Emilie Lijesen, Gabriella Salvati, Amelia Shunk, Lauren Sizemore and
Caeley Tierney.
Shunk earned a spot on the team for the third time in her Blue Devil career while Butero, Chaver, Johnson, Lee, Lijesen and Salvati were honored for the second time.
Virginia led all schools with 18 student-athletes on the team, followed by Syracuse (12), Duke (11) and Notre Dame (11). Louisville had nine student-athletes garner the recognition and North Carolina had seven. Boston College, Clemson and Miami each had six honorees.
Minimum academic requirements for selection to the All-ACC Academic Team are a 3.0 grade point average for the previous semester and a 3.0 cumulative average during one's academic career for undergraduate students. Athletic achievements during the most recent season are also considered in selecting the All-ACC Academic Team.
The ACC Honor Roll, which recognizes all conference student-athletes with a grade point average of 3.0 for the current academic year, will be released in July.
