Gameday Information
- Saturday, May 7th, the University of Notre Dame will host three events. The Fighting Irish men's lacrosse and softball teams will be competing in the afternoon, and a Garth Brooks concert at the Notre Dame Stadium will begin at 7 p.m.
- Fans attending the men's lacrosse game will park in the Bulla lot, located at the corner of Bulla Road and Twyckenham Drive for no charge.
The Opening Faceoff
- The No. 9 Blue Devils close the regular season on the road at No. 7 Notre Dame Saturday. Faceoff is set for 12 p.m., on ESPN2. Duke stands at No. 8 in the RPI, while Notre Dame is 13th.
- Notre Dame is riding a five-game win streak and is winning by an average of 8.2 goals per game in that stretch. The Irish are 7-4 overall and rank 10th nationally in scoring offense (14.64 gpg) and eighth in scoring defense (9.73/gm).
- Brennan O'Neill leads the offense with a career-best 70 points from 50 goals and 20 assists. Dyson Williams sits at 47 points from 39 goals and eight assists, while Nakeie Montgomery has a career-high 45 points (28g, 17a).
- Sean Lulley has 40 points overall, while Andrew McAdorey is one of the league's top scoring freshman with 37. Duke is averaging 15.50 goals per game to rank seventh nationally.
- Defensively, Kenny Brower draws the opponent's top attackman and has 15 caused turnovers and 37 ground balls. Wilson Stephenson has a team-high 19 caused turnovers and 39 GBs, while Tyler Carpenter has 17 and 63, respectively. Jake Naso is 225-of-397 (.567) at the faceoff dot with 125 ground balls.
- In goal, Mike Adler has been solid, averaging 12.81 saves per game and sporting a .553 save percentage. He has made 15-plus saves six times this season.

- Notre Dame is one of the hottest teams in the country, winning five straight to sit at No. 7 in the top 20 polls. The Fighting Irish are 7-4 overall and 4-1 in league action with the loss to Virginia. Notre Dame is winning by an average of 8.2 goals per game in that span.
- Notre Dame is averaging 14.64 goals per game and 17.2 in the past five games and is led by Pat Kavanagh's 59 points. Chris Kavanagh has 31 points, while Eric Dobson has 29 points. Jake Taylor has come on strong in the past six games, scoring 21 goals.
- On the defensive end of the field, Notre Dame is ranked eighth nationally with a 9.73 goals against average. The Fighting Irish have held six of 11 opponents to single digits this season. What Gives?
- As usual, Notre Dame features one of the nation's best defenses. The Irish are allowing 9.73 goals per game, one of nine teams to sport a goals against average in single digits. They have held six of their 11 opponents to single-digit scoring, including three of the past five.
- On the other side of the ball, Duke features the nation's seventh-ranked scoring offense at 15.50 goals per game. The Blue Devils have scored 15-plus goals in 10 of the 16 games and have yet to be held to under 10 goals this season.
Series History
- Duke and Notre Dame are meeting for the 29th time in the programs' histories. The Blue Devils hold a 16-12 edge in the series with the past 10 being split evenly at 5-5. Duke is 5-4 in ACC regular season contests and holds a 9-7 record over the Irish as ACC competitors.
- Neither team has consecutive wins since Duke beat Notre Dame in the ACC Tournament in 2016 and then again in the regular season in 2017. Notre Dame has a 3-2 lead when played in South Bend.
O'neill Approaching 100 Career Goals
- With 24 goals in his past six games, Brennan O'Neill is inching closer to 100 career goals. He has 95 career goals in his 33 games played for an average of 2.88 per game. He is five shy of reaching the century mark and averaging 3.13 per game this season.
- Zack Greer is the fastest to 100 career goals in Duke lacrosse history, reaching the benchmark in 38 games. Justin Guterding did so in 39 games. O'Neill is on pace to achieve the feat in 35 games.
Will Frisoli Finding His Footing
- Junior longstick midfielder Will Frisoli has found his footing over the past four games. The Westwood, Mass., native has seven caused turnovers and seven ground balls in that stretch after having just three and nine in the 10 games prior. Duke is 3-1 in the stretch with the one loss coming against Notre Dame.
Reaching The Perfect 10
- Since 2007, Duke is 204-32 when scoring at least 10 goals.
- The Blue Devils are 16-37 when being held to fewer than 10 scores.
- Duke is 64-60 when allowing 10 goals in a contest and 155-9 when holding opponents under 10 goals.
