MANHEIM, Pa. – Four Duke wrestlers have been tabbed to the National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA) Scholar All-America Team, as the organization recently announced.

Redshirt senior brothers
Josh Finesilver and
Matt Finesilver, junior
Jonah Niesenbaum and redshirt sophomore
Patrick Rowland were four of 289 individuals across 74 institutions to be selected for the combined efforts on the mat and in the classroom.

Josh Finesilver has been named an NWCA Scholar All-America for the fourth time in his collegiate career, while
Matt Finesilver was selected for the second time. Niesenbaum and Rowland both earned their first career selections.

The Blue Devils were also one of the top-30 scholar teams in the nation, ranking 25th with a collective team GPA of 3.366 to join NC State as the only ACC representatives on the exclusive list. Duke has now finished in the top-25 in team GPA in 16 of the last 17 years.

Duke wrestling continues its strong academic record under head coach
Glen Lanham. In his tenure, the Blue Devils have now gone 10 consecutive seasons with at least one NWCA Scholar All-American. Niesenbaum and Rowland become the 15th and 16th different Blue Devils to earn such a distinction under Lanham.
