DURHAM – In honor of this being the 50th year of Title IX, Duke Athletics will co-host a Title IX Celebration with North Carolina Central University and youth groups on Saturday, April 9th prior to track & field's start of the Duke Invitational. Registration opens at 9 a.m. at the baseball grandstand and will run until 9:45 a.m. Kids will play warm up games as they wait, including corn hole, Jenga and other yard games.

Nina King and NC Central Athletic Director Dr. Ingrid Wicker McCree will welcome everyone at 9:45 a.m., followed by a group picture at 10 a.m. and then the kids will run a lap around the track. After that, the kids will head back to the baseball field for games and student-athlete speakers until 11 a.m. Following the conclusion of the event, kids are free to stay and watch the meet.
