PANAMA CITY BEACH, Fla. – The Duke men's golf team begins play in the 2022 ACC Championship on Friday morning at the Watersound Club's Shark's Tooth Course in Panama City Beach, Fla. The Blue Devils are in search of the program's ninth title.
The format includes three rounds of stroke play on Friday and Saturday followed by match play semifinals on Sunday and match play finals on Monday. The first round Friday begins at 7:30 a.m. with continuous play into the second round. The third round on Saturday begins at 9 a.m. Match play semifinals on Sunday and finals on Monday begin at 9 a.m.
Duke is one of only three teams in the ACC that have claimed the last 12 conference titles, with the Blue Devils winning in 2017 and 2013, Clemson in 2021 and 2016, and Georgia Tech wining the other eight. The 2020 championship was not contested due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
This year's championship is being hosted by the Watersound Club for the first time, but each of the 12 ACC teams got a preview of the course in late February for the Watersound Invitational. Duke senior
Quinn Riley fired rounds of 69 and 70 over the final two rounds to finish tied for ninth at 3-under 213 as the Blue Devils finished 11th as a team.

Ian Siebers leads Duke into the 2022 ACC Championship with his team-leading 71.0 stroke average this season that ranks 13th in the ACC. Duke's lineup in Panama City Beach also includes Riley, who is fresh off his first career win at the Stitch Intercollegiate, along with freshmen

Luke Sample and sophmoreÂ
Jimmy Zheng.
Duke is paired with Louisville and NC State for the first two rounds and Chinn will be first off for the Blue Devils on Friday at 7:30 a.m. on the 10
th tee. Sample follows next at 7:42, Riley at 7:54, Zheng at 8:06 and Siebers at 8:18. Freshman
John Peters is the alternate for Duke.
The semifinals and finals of the ACC Championship match play will be televised live on ACCNX from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. Will Haskett (play-by-play) and Steve Scott (analyst) will provide the call.
