DURHAM - Following a successful weekend, the Duke women's lacrosse team jumped to No. 5 in the nation in the latest IL Women/IWLCA poll.
Senior Maddie Jenner's goal with 1:21 remaining pushed seventh-ranked Duke past second-ranked Boston College, 16-15, in thrilling women's lacrosse action Saturday afternoon in Koskinen Stadium.
With the victory, the Blue Devils won their ninth game in a row and improve to 15-1, 6-1 ACC. Duke's No. 5 ranking is the best since 2016 and is tabbed No. 4 in the NIKE/USA Lacrosse poll.
The Blue Devils will have another big test this week at No. 1 North Carolina Thursday. Opening draw is set for 8 p.m., on ACCN with Leah Secondo, Sheehan Stanwick Burch & Dana Boyle on the call. The winner will be crowned ACC regular season champs.
