DURHAM – The No. 14 Duke rowing team collected its first weekly honor of the season as the Third Varsity Eight (3V8) was named the ACC Crew of the Week on Wednesday.
The 3V8 turned in a dominant performance to get the Blue Devils started at the Carolina Cup in Clemson, S.C., on Saturday. Coxed by junior

Alice Elworthy (junior) recorded a time of 6:48.7, nearly 30 seconds faster than the Tigers (7:16.2). Duke followed that momentum with four more head-to-head wins to sweep the regatta and claim its sixth consecutive Daughtry Cup.
The honor marks Duke's first ACC Crew of the Week recognition since April 28, 2021, when the Varsity Eight grinded out a victory at the Lake Wheeler Invitational in Raleigh, N.C.
