ATLANTA – After qualifying for the 2022 NCAA Championship in one-meter diving on Sunday, Duke diving duo of freshman
Margo O'Meara and senior
Maddi Pullinger earned qualification in the one-meter competition on Monday at the Zone 'B' Diving Championship at McAuley Aquatic Center in Atlanta.
O'Meara and Pullinger placed seventh and eighth in the event with scores of 673.00 and 630.45, respectively. Similar to the one-meter competition, the top 10 divers in the three-meter competition earned qualification to the NCAA Championship.
Senior
Harel Anolick represented Duke in the men's one-meter competition. Anolick narrowly missed NCAA qualification by placing 11th in the finals (645.10).
Six Blue Devils will take action on Tuesday at the Zone Championship. For the men,
Jonah Cagley,
Seamus Harding Jr., and Anolick are set for men's three-meter diving. Preliminaries are slated for 11:15 a.m., with finals to follow at 1:15 p.m. On the women's side,
Ali Watson,
Emily Rakestraw and O'Meara will compete in platform diving. Preliminaries and finals are set for 3:15 p.m. and 5:20 p.m., respectively.
