DURHAM - Graduate student Catriona Barry and senior Sophia LeRose were tabbed ACC Co-Players of the Week, the conference announced Tuesday. Barry earned offensive player of the week while LeRose was tabbed the defensive honoree.
Barry tallied seven points from six goals and an assist in Duke's victory at No. 14 Notre Dame Saturday. She also grabbed two ground balls, two caused turnovers and a draw control. She has now registered a hat trick in every contest this season and owns 173 career points.
LeRose was stellar between the pipes for the Blue Devils against the Fighting Irish, registering a season-high 13 saves for a .520 save percentage. She also picked up four ground balls. Duke's defensive unit came up huge in the final few minutes as Notre Dame was banging on the door. LeRose picked up her 13th save of the day as the Fighting Irish got two good looks at the cage, but couldn't find an answer.
Following Duke's contest at Liberty, Duke welcomes No. 16 Virginia to Koskinen Stadium Saturday for a 1 p.m., game on ACCNX.
