SOUTH BEND, Ind. - Through three rounds of pool play during the third day of competition at the 2022 NCAA Fencing Championship, the Duke fencing team is in 10th place in the team standings with 51 points.
Notre Dame is in first place with 155 points, followed by Columbia (138), Harvard (137), Princeton (134) and Ohio State (123) to round out the top five.
Junior saberist Terence Lee and foilist Finn Hossfeld headlined the men's competition today and currently sit in fourth and sixth, respectively. Lee captured 11 wins while Finn notched 10 in their respective weapons.
Danny Campbell III is in 21st following three rounds of pool play in epee.
The Blue Devil men will compete in their final eight bouts in pool play in their respective weapons Friday and will attempt to move up the leaderboard with their focus on a top-four spot. The four fencers in each weapon with the best marks will advance to the semifinals of a single-elimination bracket of 15-touch bouts.
The men's semifinals and finals will air on ESPN3 and the WatchESPN app at 1 p.m., on Sunday. The team championship is a combined title for the men and women.
