- Syracuse enters this weekend with a 3-4 overall record and looking for its first ACC win. The Orange are 0-1 in league action after a 20-11 loss to Virginia, Feb. 26. Syracuse is coming off a 14-9 victory at Stony Brook. The Orange are 2-2 at home this season.
- Syracuse is averaging 14.43 goals per game to rank 12th in the nation. Tucker Dordevic leads the attack with 35 points (26g, 9a), while Brendan Curry has 26 (18g, 8a). The Orange have been held under 10 goals just once this season - a 10-7 loss at Johns Hopkins.
- Defensively, Syracuse is allowing 13.00 goals per game to rank 56th nationally. The Orange have allowed double-digit goals in five of its seven games. Nick Caccamo anchors the defense with 11 caused turnovers and 14 ground balls, while longstick midfielder Brett Kennedy has nine caused turnovers and 16 ground balls.

Fab Freshman
- Rookie midfielder Andrew McAdorey is having one of the great freshman campaigns in Duke history. The Long Island native has 12 goals and 16 assists for 28 points to rank fifth on the team in scoring. His 28 points are the most by a Duke freshman midfielder since Scott Diggs recorded 31 in 12 games.
- McAdorey's 1.45 assists per game are fifth among all freshmen nationally, while he ranks second among midfielders in points per game (2.55).
The Nak and Mac Attack
- The duo of Nakeie Montgomery and Andrew McAdorey is causing Duke's opponents fits. With a lethal Blue Devil attack unit of four accounting for 50 percent of Duke's points, teams have also struggled to contain Montgomery and McAdorey. In the past five games, Montgomery has 10 goals and seven assists (3.4/gm) while McAdorey has five goals and eight assists (2.60/gm). The first six games of the year they averaged 2.33 and 2.50 points per game, respectively. Overall, Montgomery has 31 points and McAdorey has 28. Montgomery is only eight points away from matching his career-best single season performance with six regular season games remaining.
