HIGH POINT, N.C. – The sixth-ranked Duke women's lacrosse team collected its fourth win of the season Sunday with a 22-13 victory over High Point at Vert Stadium.
With the win, head coach
Kerstin Kimel's squad remains undefeated at 4-0.
The Blue Devils filled up the stat sheet with scoring contributions from 10 different players, led by graduate student
Catriona Barry with a career-high 11 points off of seven goals and four assists. Her 11 points this afternoon ties for first on Duke's individual single-game records list. She also picked up two ground balls and one caused turnover.

Katie DeSimone also added seven points (4G, 3A), two ground balls and a caused turnover.

Through four games, Duke has assisted on half its goals (46). In addition to Barry and DeSimone, Callahan, Carner and Schmalz each dished one this afternoon.
In addition to Duke's dominant offensive performance, draw control specialist Jenner tallied a career-high 21 draws. That is also the most in a single game in Duke history, besting her sister Olivia's 20 in 2019.
High Point got on the board first quickly before Keller won the draw and raced down the field for the equalizer (1-1) eight seconds later at 13:29 in the first. Big South Preseason Player of the Year Abby Hormes notched her first goal of the contest at before Duke tallied four unanswered goals, spearheaded by Barry's three consecutive, to lead 5-2. The Panthers tacked on one more just before the end of the quarter (5-3).
The Panthers opened the second frame with two quick goals before the Blue Devils registered three unanswered to take an 8-5 lead midway through the second. Schmalz, Callahan and DeSimone picked up their first goals of the afternoon in that stretch.
Carner connected with Barry on her fourth tally of the day just before High Point cut into Duke's lead with two goals of its own to make it 9-8. McCorkle added one more goal for Duke with five seconds before the half on a free-position attempt.
Duke led 10-8 at intermission in a tight battle against the Panthers. Duke outshot High Point 23-13 and was led by Barry's four scores.
The start of second half was a back-and-forth affair through a majority of the third despite Duke holding a 13-11 lead with 2:56 remaining. Duke saw success on its eight-meter attempts this afternoon, going 7-of-15, which included consecutive goals from Carner and Jenner with two minutes left in the quarter. Duke went on a 5-0 run to lead 17-11 heading into the fourth.
Duke dominated possession in the final 15 minutes and tacked on 10 goals to keep High Point on its heels. The Panthers were held scoreless for nearly 20 minutes, but added two goals in the final minutes for a 22-13 final score.
Duke won the draw control battle (27-11) and picked up 10 caused turnovers, led by
Katie Cosgrove,
Natalie Kahn,
Cubby Biscardi and
Kay Conway. Duke was also flawless on clears (13-of-13).
Senior
Sophia LeRose started in goal for Duke and tallied three saves in just over 30 minutes while freshman
Kennedy Everson also saw time and added two saves.
High Point goalkeeper Taylor Suplee collected 12 saves while Kay Rosselli paced the offense with four points.
Duke returns to Koskinen Stadium Thursday, Feb. 24 against Wofford and Monday, Feb. 28 against East Carolina.
