ATLANTA – Sophomore
Sarah Foley earned All-ACC honors for the second consecutive night to lead the Blue Devils on Thursday at the ACC Championships at the McAuley Aquatics Pavilion in Atlanta.

Foley earned her second All-ACC honor of the 2022 ACC Championship, this time in the 200 freestyle with a time of 1:44.10 in second place. She previously earned the honor in the 200 individual medley on Wednesday. Foley is the sixth women's swimmer in Duke history to earn multiple All-ACC honors in a single championship. The Philadelphia, Pa., native is also the first Duke women's swimmer to earn All-ACC honors in the 200 freestyle.

Margo O'Meara and junior
Ali Watson had strong showings in the women's three-meter diving finals. O'Meara continued her strong meet, placing fourth in the event with a mark of 367.10. Watson finished seventh in the event with a score of 286.40.

A pair of Blue Devils placed in the 400 individual medley. Sophomore
Catherine Purnell placed 13th in the event with a time of 4:15.61, followed by senior
Cabell Whitlow in 18th with a time of 4:15.40.

Three Duke women appeared in the 100 butterfly finals. Ozkan, who recorded a 52.85 in the morning preliminaries to place fifth all-time at Duke, led the way finishing in 15t. Sophomore

Easop Lee (53.75) also placed 21st and 23rd, respectively.

Matthew Whelan (46.53) and junior
Brad Sanford (46.58) recorded career-best times in the 100 butterfly preliminaries that placed second and third in the top-10 times in program history, respectively. Whelan placed 19th, Sanford touched 20th and Gingrich rounded out the Duke finalists in 24th (47.06).

Duke opened the nightly relays strong with the men and the women each recording a time that ranked in the top-10 in program history. The women's relay team of junior

Sarah Snyder touched sixth in the event with a time of 1:36.97, good for third all-time in program history. The same group swam a time trial following the meet and improved their third-place time in program history to 1:36.75.

The Blue Devils continue action at the ACC Championships Friday with the 200 butterfly, 100 backstroke, 100 breaststroke, 400 medley relay and men's platform diving. Entering Friday, the Duke women sit fourth (425) while the men are in 10th (187).
