ATLANTA – SophomoreÂ
Sarah Foley placed second in the women's 200 individual medley to earn her first career All-ACC honor and led the Blue Devils on Wednesday at the ACC Swimming and Diving Championship at the McAuley Aquatics Pavilion in Atlanta.

Foley recorded a school-record mark of 1:54.47 and bested her previous career best in the event, which she set in the morning preliminaries. Entering the day, her time would place sixth in collegiate swimming this season. Foley placed second in the event behind Olympian Alexandra Walsh from Virginia.

The Philadelphia, Pa., native becomes the first Blue Devil women's swimmer to earn All-ACC honors since
Kylie Jordan in the 100 butterfly in 2019. Foley now holds five school records for Duke - the 200 freestyle, 100 breaststroke, 200 breaststroke, 200 individual medley and 400 individual medley.

Three Blue Devils competed in the finals of the 50 freestyle. Snyder placed 21st overall in the women's event with a time of 22.65 while Hollander followed closely behind in 23rd as she touched in 22.82. Sanford took 22nd with a time of 19.76 in the men's event.

The Blue Devils continue action at the ACC Championship Thursday with the 400 individual medley, 100 butterfly, 200 freestyle, 200 medley relay and women's three-meter diving.
