QUOTES
- "Fair play to FIU. They came out and gave us a hard game. The second half they really picked it up. Obviously, giving that goal away right before halftime really helped us, and also maybe allowed us to sit back a little bit more than we wanted to. But at the end of the day, I thought we were resolute in defending, especially down the stretch and really proud of our guys." – head coach John Kerr
- "Eliot [Hamill] puts it well before each game. Each game could be our last game. And I think, especially for the older guys, that's something that we really take to heart. And you know, it's just motivating us every minute, every second of the game. We all really want it bad, and I think you can see that in the way we play, the passion that we have." – Scotty Taylor on the team's motivation moving forward in the NCAA Tournament
- "I feel like whenever you go into half 1-0 up, the other team is always going to have more to play for. And they're always going to throw in the kitchen sink. And that's exactly what they did. And naturally, if you're up 1-0, you're going to take your foot off the gas a little bit and sit back, which is what we did. And I think the team is very comfortable being in those difficult situations. When they're pinning us back, no one seems to point fingers. Everyone seems to do their jobs, and that's something that's super special about this team. So, we're good when the pressure comes on." – Peter Stroud on Duke's defensive efforts
