DURHAM – Duke women's track and field graduate student
Erin Marsh has been named the ACC Women's Field Performer of the Week following a first-place finish in the pentathlon at the Hokie Invitational.
Marsh won the pentathlon with a nation-leading 4,172 points and her event performance included a first-place finish in the high jump on a leap of 1.73m (5-8 feet). This is the second year in a row that Marsh earned the pentathlon crown at the meet.
She is the second Duke women's track and field athlete to earn weekly conference honors this season, joining classmate
Lauren Hoffman who garnered ACC Women's Co-Track Performer of the Week Jan. 18.
Duke returns to action Feb. 4-5 when the Blue Devils take part in the Camel City Invitational and Virginia Tech Elite Meet. Several members of the team will head to Winston-Salem, while others make their return to Blacksburg, Va., for the third meet in a row.
