Duke Women, Men Tabbed Sixth, Seventh in ACC Preseason Poll

GREENSBORO, N.C. – Duke women's cross country has been tabbed to finish sixth, while the 23rd-ranked men's squad has been picked seventh, as the ACC announced in its preseason poll Friday.

The Duke women's unit finished with 146 total points, between Georgia Tech (168) and Virginia (141). On the men's side, the Blue Devils finished just behind North Carolina (143), with 141 points, to stand four ahead of eighth place Florida State (137).

The poll comes after the Blue Devil men were tabbed as the No. 23 team in the nation and No. 3 in the southeast region, while the women were named the No. 6 team in the southeast region.

The men's and women's teams will start their 2021 season at the Elon Opener on Friday, Sept. 3 at 8 p.m., in the first meet of the Angela Reckart era.
