DURHAM – Duke men's soccer (6-1-0, 3-0-0 ACC) returns home after a two-game road swing for the first of three home games, welcoming Howard (1-3-2, 0-0-0 NEC) to Koskinen Stadium on Tuesday at 7 p.m.

The Blue Devils are aiming to start the season 7-1-0 for the first time since 2004, when the team started 11-0. Tuesday's game will be broadcast on ACCNX.

Last Time Out
- Duke put on another defensive clinic, defeating Syracuse 1-0 on Saturday night in Syracuse, N.Y.
- The Blue Devils got its only tally of the night from sophomore Thorleifur Ulfarsson, who scored in the 82nd minute, with assists from sophomore Peter Stroud and freshman Shakur Mohammed.
- The win was Duke's third straight against the Orange, to take the all-time series lead at 4-3-0.
- Duke moved to 3-0 in the ACC and is one of two remaining teams in the ACC with a perfect conference record (joining Louisville at 3-0).

- The Bison enter Durham with a record of 1-3-2 and will play in their final game before Northeast Conference play.

- The Blue Devils and Bison have met only once, with the Blue Devils trailing 0-1-0.
- The two teams are meeting for the first time in almost 49 years, when the Bison won the last meeting 9-0 on Nov. 21, 1972, in the opening round of the NCAA Tournament.
What to Watch For
- The Blue Devils have won all six of their games via a shutout. That is the most since 2004, when the team won its first seven games with a clean sheet.
- Duke has had at least one All-ACC honoree in every season since 1976, including every year of head coach John Kerr's tenure.
- Hamill, the Scarsdale, N.Y., native, ranks near the top of nearly every major statistic in the country, ranking tied for first in the nation in save percentage (0.964, with San Diego State's Jacob Castro), third in goals against average (0.162) and fourth in shutouts (five). Hamill also leads the ACC in all those categories.
- The Blue Devils rank 12th in the nation in goal differential, outscoring opponents 13-1 over the first seven games.
- The Blue Devils have gotten plenty of production from the freshman class, with 11 of the team's 35 points (31.4%) coming from them. Freshman Felix Barajas leads the way with four points, while Ruben Mesalles and Mohammed have three and Jai Bean has one.
- The next game started by senior Ian Murphy will give him 50 starts in his collegiate career.

Tuesday will be the first of two 'K9 in Koskinen' nights, where tickets are available for $4 for purchase in-person. Fans and their dogs are required to sit on the east side of the stadium, opposite of the Kennedy Tower press box, where water bowls will be available. All dogs are required to be leashed in Koskinen Stadium and fans are required to sign the waiver in the link provided.
