DURHAM – Former Duke men's lacrosse standouts Myles Jones and Will Haus have been named to the 2021 Premier Lacrosse League All-Star teams. Jones is one of the 22 starters, while Haus is a reserve as voted by fans.
Jones, a midfielder for Redwoods LC, is one of six from his position on the starters list. He leads all Redwood midfielders with 16 points from five goals and 11 assists. His 16 points are tied for second in the league among midfielders, while his 11 assists are second overall in the PLL behind attackman Grant Ament's 15.
Jones has registered at least two points in each of his five games this season, including dishing out four assists in the most recent victory against Waterdogs. Redwoods currently sit in a tie for second place with a 3-2 overall record.
Haus is the lone All-Star from Chrome LC as he is one of eight midfielders on the reserves. In his third year with the PLL, Haus continues to be one of the best short stick defensive midfielders in the league. He currently has four caused turnovers and nine ground balls in five games with Chrome.
The PLL All-Star Game will be held July 18 at 7 p.m., at PayPal Park in San Jose, Calif. The All-Star Skills presented by Vineyard Vines will take place at 9:30 p.m. The game will be broadcast on NBC Sports Network, while the skills competition can be seen on NBC's Peacock streaming platform.
