DURHAM, N.C. – The College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) selected the Duke men's and women's swimming and diving teams as a Scholar All-America Team for the Spring 2021 semester, the organization announced Tuesday.
Duke was one of 426 schools to receive the award for the spring semester. The Blue Devils boasted GPAs of 3.7 on the women's side and 3.6 for the men's program.
The Blue Devils men's GPA led the ACC while the women's ranked third. Duke was the only school in the league to have over a 3.6 GPA for both teams as it was one of nine teams to reach the mark nationwide.
To be eligible for Scholar All-America recognition, programs had to finish with a semester GPA of 3.0 or higher.
"Coach
Dan Colella consistently produces winners in the pool and classroom and this year is no exception," noted CSCAA Executive Director Greg Earhart. "These are some of the best ambassadors of Duke and Dr. White and President Price can and should be proud of these 60 men & women."
The CSCAA will announce its individual Scholar All-Americans next week.
