Blue Devils Arrive in Hartford

The Duke men's lacrosse team arrived in Hartford Friday morning in advance of its 13th NCAA semifinal appearance Saturday against top-ranked Maryland. The Blue Devils and Terrapins face off at 2:30 p.m., on ESPN2.
Duke departed campus in the morning for an easy 78 minute flight to Hartford.
Upon arrival in Hartford, the Blue Devils checked into the hotel and took care of the necessary off field business before enjoying a relaxing lunch together at the hotel. All in all it was a smooth start to the day before Duke headed to Rentschler Field for one final practice before gameday. After 75 minutes on the field, Duke returned to the hotel to relax and enjoy another evening together.
In case you missed it Thursday, the USILA announced its All-America teams as well as all of the major award winners and Duke was well represented. JT Giles-Harris garnered the William C. Schmeisser Award as the National Defensive Player of the Year. He earned his second first team All-America award and was joined on the first team by Michael Sowers (A) and Nakeie Montgomery (M). Mike Adler and Tyler Carpenter were named to the third team and Jake Naso, Brennan O'Neill and Joe Robertson picked up honorable mention nods.
