CHAPEL HILL, N.C. – Four members of the Duke swimming & diving program recorded new times or improved their previous times that qualified for Wave I of the 2020 U.S. Olympic Team Trials during a long course meet in Chapel Hill over the weekend.
Sophomore
Sarah Foley improved her trials time in both the 100-meter and 200 breaststroke, recording times of 1:09.85 and 2:31.74, respectively. Classmate
Emily Lenihan also improved her time in the 100 backstroke, clocking in at 1:02.35. Senior
Lucy Callard earned her first 2020 trials berth in the 200 butterfly as she swam a 2:14.66 in Chapel Hill.
On the men's side, senior
Cole Reznick's 1:03.61 in the 100 breaststroke also qualified him for Wave I.
The 2020 US Olympic Team Trails, originally scheduled in 2020 but pushed back due to the postponement of the 2020 Olympics in Tokyo, will take place June 4-20 in Omaha, Neb. Wave I will take place June 4-7 with Wave II the following week, June 13-20.
