DURHAM – Tickets for the Duke men's lacrosse NCAA Tournament first-round game at Dorrance Field on the campus of North Carolina are now available to purchase for the general public. The Blue Devils face High Point, May 16 at 5 p.m., on ESPNU.

The Blue Devils earned the No. 2 seed in the NCAA Tournament after finishing the regular season with a 12-2 overall record. High Point grabbed the automatic bid as the champion of the Southern Conference after beating Richmond in the conference title game, 11-8. The Panthers are 8-5 overall and have won six straight after starting the season 2-5. Four of the five losses came against North Carolina (twice), Virginia and Duke. The fifth was a regular season setback to Richmond.
The contest features two of the nation's best passers as Duke's
Michael Sowers and High Point's Asher Nolting take the field averaging 2.64 and 3.23 assists per game, respectively. Duke features the nation's No. 3 scoring offense at 15.07 goals per game, while the Blue Devil defense is giving up 10.07 goals per game.
Defensively, High Point has held four of its previous six opponents to single digit scoring. The Panthers' goals against average sits at 13.70 for the year after allowing 27 goals to both Duke and North Carolina during the regular season.
The winner between Duke and High Point advances to the quarterfinal round to play either Denver or Loyola at Notre Dame, May 23.
