DURHAM – Duke senior Joe Robertson was voted the US Lacrosse Division I Men's Player of the Week and grabbed a spot on the USILA Team of the Week following his seven-goal and 10-point outing in the Blue Devils' win against Air Force this past Saturday.
In addition, Robertson's third goal of the afternoon marked the 100th of his career, making him the 21st Duke player to reach the century mark. He is the eighth Blue Devil to play his entire career and achieve the feat under head coach John Danowski at Duke.
Robertson, who missed the 2020 season to an ACL injury, was unstoppable against the Falcons, scoring seven goals and dishing out three assists for 10 points as Duke won, 17-7. The Salem, Va., native's 10 points were the most scored by a Blue Devil since Justin Guterding had 10 in 2018 and one shy of Duke's single-game record. The seven goals were two more than his previous career best and two off the Blue Devil record.
In three games this season, Robertson has 14 goals and 18 points overall. He leads all Blue Devils in goals despite playing two fewer games. Riding a 32-game point streak dating back to March 24, 2018, Robertson has played in 41 career games and has 104 goals and 33 assists for 137 points.
Duke finished February with an unblemished 5-0 mark. The Blue Devils open a five-game March slate this Sunday at No. 18 Richmond. Faceoff is set for 4 p.m., on ESPN+.
