DURHAM, N.C. – Nine different Blue Devils notched goals as the No. 11 Duke women's lacrosse team defeated High Point, 19-9, Thursday evening at Koskinen Stadium in Durham, N.C.
With the victory, the Blue Devils improve to 5-2 as the Panthers dip to 1-6.

Katie Cronin paced Duke's offense with three goals each as Cronin notched five points with her two assists. Duke also received goal contributions from sophomore

Cronin has scored at least one goal in each of Duke's seven contests and owns 15 goals this spring with her three today.
At the draw, junior 
Maddie Jenner was a force as she picked up 15 draw controls, just one off her career high. Duke won the battle at the draw 21-7.
Carner had an all-around day for the Blue Devils with three caused turnovers, three ground balls and one draw control in addition to her goals.
The Blue Devils were first on the board as Barry found Cordrey for her first of the game at 25:08 just before High Point answered with its own goal at 24:29. Duke outscored High Point 6-2 in the final 20 minutes of the first period with help from four free position goals (FPG) from Carner, Cronin, Rosenzweig and Barry. The Panthers added two goals from Kaely Kyle and Abby Hormes to end the first half trailing 6-11.

Chase Henriquez returned to the field and picked up four saves in the first frame off 11 Panther shots.
The Blue Devils would go on to outscore the Panthers 8-3 in the second half as Duke's defense limited High Point to just five shots. Carner and sophomore 
Cubby Biscardi each caused three turnovers while graduate student 
Callie Humphrey brought in two, moving her to tied for ninth on Duke's all-time list with 79. Humphrey also added four ground balls, bringing her career total to 120 and moving her to tied for 18th all-time.
The Blue Devils outshot the Panthers 34-16 and went 17-of-20 on clear attempts.
High Point was led by Hormes with three goals and two assists for five points.
Duke will be off from competition for eight days before heading to Charlottesville, Va., as the Blue Devils will take on No. 8 Virginia for two contests.
